SummerDance Chicago
.:: Follow the beat::.
For the second straight year the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs will be sponsoring its DJs Series in the park as part of its SummerDance program. The DJ Series focuses on electronic dance music. Naturally, as the birth place of house music the focus is mainly on local house DJs, although other forms of music are also represented. The 2004 session ended with the coincidence of Frankie Knuckles day in Chicago with a spectacular set by the Godfather himself in downpours of rain and lightening over the skies of downtown. Some of the highlights of 2005 include Ron Trent, Andre Hatchett, Jeff Mills, Oscar McMillan, Superpitcher and Lego.
